Exploring is built for young people who are beginning to think seriously about the future. Designed for youth ages 10 through 20, Exploring connects participants directly with professionals in real career fields, from law enforcement and firefighting to engineering, healthcare, aviation, business, and more. It is a hands-on, experiential learning program that moves beyond the classroom and into the environments where real work happens.
Explorers join career-focused groups called posts, typically sponsored by local organizations or agencies. Meetings might include job-site visits, simulations, ride-alongs, technical skill practice, or mentorship from working professionals. Participants gain exposure to workplace expectations, leadership dynamics, teamwork, and ethical decision-making. Explorers learn to build confidence and practical knowledge about potential career paths.
For families, Exploring offers clarity. Instead of guessing about interests or relying solely on academic guidance, youth get firsthand experience in fields they may one day pursue. It’s structured but flexible, serious but engaging. If your student is curious about what comes next — and wants more than just academic theory — Exploring provides a safe, guided introduction to the adult world of responsibility and opportunity.
