In the Scouting world, the phrase “Gone Home” is used to signify when a scout or scouter has passed away. The symbol used to represent this is a dot inside of circle which itself is an ancient tracking sign that means “I have gone home” or simply the trails end. Scouting’s founder, Lord Baden-Powell often used this phrase to represent life’s journey ending in peace. Lord Baden-Powell’s own gravestone has this very symbol on it. We have created a similar symbol with our Thunderbird looking inward towards the “Gone Home” symbol.

Many of those individuals journey’s may have ended but we still want to remember them for their long lasting contributions to Camp. Below you will see a few of the many who have passed on.
If you know of someone who was on staff or a long time camper of Royaneh, that is no longer with us, and should be remembered below please feel free to email us so that they can be remembered for all generations of Royaneh.
